Prevues of Coming Attractions, Volume 1: Giallorama

Happy birthday to me! It´s now been 2 years since the first trailer from Prevues hit the web! And how do I celebrate this? I give you the DVD I promised a long time ago. It is a collection of 36 trailers from the giallogenre. It hasn´t got fancy menues, mainly because I didn´t have time to make any. Check out some screenies:

As you can see, it is fullscreen, letterboxed. I tried to get them in widescreen 16:9, but something went wrong. However, the trailers look pretty good!

List of trailers:

Blood And Black Lace (Mario Bava, 1964)
The Bird With The Crystal Plumage (Dario Argento, 1970)

Now to the technical stuff:

The DVD is split into 8 parts, and you´ll need all 8 parts to get the DVD. Total size is about 3,5Gb, and they can be found here.

If you are a member of Cinemageddon you can also download it as a torrent.

If you use Rapidshare, you can get the file from here, in 21 .rar-files.

To open the files, you´ll need a program called StuffIt Expander (Download for Mac, or Windows). That was the only program that I found that could be used on both Mac and Windows, that allowed me to use split archives. It is freeware. When you open the program, open the first part, and start unpacking.

When unpacked, you can burn the VIDEO_TS folder in Nero, or if you use a Mac, Toast.

You can also download a SWEET DVD cover, it can be found in the same folder as the DVD, it´s at 7,36Mb. A HUGE thanks to Stian for making it!

Please let me know what you think! Enjoy!

If you have any questions, let me know and I´ll try to answer them as good as I can.

  5. there shouldn't be a password... you serious? that is weird, I haven't put a password on it, and I tried to expand it before I uploaded it.

  6. I ran into a bunch of weird stuff while doing this, none of which I think had anything to do with your files. It was Windows nonsense of some sort (my Mac can't burn DVD's unfortunately)

    - The password thing? I was in fact getting asked for a password every time but if I typed in _anything_ it went ahead and started decompression.

    - I was told on more than one occasion that decompression had failed: in fact it had not, the files were there

    - When I burned it I got a message that burning had failed, but in fact the DVD is fine.

??? I hate Windows but that's a different topic :-) anyway it worked!

  7. I also experienced the same anomalies the poster mentioned above and it took aaages to expand the archive (errors and all) - but hey, it's all done and the disc looks fine!

Just checked a few trailers and I am already hooked. I know most of the films but still I can only watch your compilation in small doses as I am afraid otherwise I will rush out and buy the stuff I do not yet know all at once. Then again, maybe I should. Really dig the cover artwork too.

    Good work!

  11. Hello,

I love trailers and i'm so interested to get your trailers, but when I unzip the files, a password is needed. But what is the password ? I try giallo but it doesn't work.

    Thanks a lot :)
